About the role#
Thatcher+Co. is a communications and public relations firm. As an intern, you will work alongside senior strategists on live client accounts. You will participate in team meetings, contribute to real deliverables, and gain exposure to the full range of strategic communications across various sectors. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Monitor media daily for client coverage, industry trends, and competitive developments.
- Build and maintain targeted media lists across broadcast, print, digital, and social platforms.
- Gather research for written deliverables such as proposals, news releases, media backgrounders, and client communications.
- Research venues for events, build attendee lists, and identify speaking opportunities for clients.
- Assist account teams with day-to-day needs to support the operational rhythm of client work.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorms, contributing your own ideas.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous internship experience or relevant coursework in PR, communications, advertising, or marketing is preferred.
- Strong, clean writing skills with an attention to clarity and grammar.
- Ability to be organized and self-directed while managing multiple tasks.
- Comfort working in an agency environment where everyone contributes.
- Proficiency with standard workplace tools including Microsoft Teams and Office Suite.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Schedule: Hybrid role with in-office attendance required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
