About the role#
The KATV News Internship provides students with hands-on experience in broadcast media production and distribution. Participants observe and assist in the daily operations of a newsroom to understand the production process from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Work assigned shifts to gain experience in news production.
- Participate in observational learning to understand the news cycle.
- Engage in hands-on tasks to support newsroom operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- Registration in an internship course for academic credit during the semester.
- Status as a junior, senior, or graduate student is preferred.
- Ability to work 10-20 hours per week.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Reliable transportation.
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.

- Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
