About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to observe and participate in the production of local news at KATV. Interns will work across various time slots to gain a comprehensive understanding of the news production process from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Participate in observational learning and hands-on tasks within the newsroom.
- Assist with various production assignments during scheduled time slots.
- Coordinate internship activities with your university to ensure eligibility for academic credit.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a preference for students entering their junior or senior year or a graduate program.
- Registration in an internship course at your institution for the semester.
- Ability to work 10-20 hours per week, depending on university requirements.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Reliable transportation.
- Academic focus in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related fields.
