About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship in Waltham, Massachusetts, offers students the opportunity to work alongside engineering professionals. You will apply your classroom knowledge to real-world challenges in both the office and the field. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction monitoring, field investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations.
- Perform structural design and analysis using hand calculations and software under the guidance of licensed professionals.
- Analyze materials and support petrography staff with testing and data analysis.
- Organize field data and conduct research to support problem solving and repair design.
- Help prepare client deliverables, such as construction documents, specifications, and written reports.
- Participate in site inspections, which may involve travel and working from heights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Architecture program.
- Strong academic performance.
- Clear communication skills.
- A desire to learn through hands-on experience in a consulting engineering environment.
- Interest in structural engineering, materials science, or architectural engineering.
