About the role#
This is a part time, hourly role for pharmacy students at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Halifax. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, preparing for your future career as a pharmacist. The store offers a retail environment where you will learn how to manage operations and support patient health.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health and beauty services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional experience for pharmacy customers.
- Acknowledge customers as they approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain strict customer privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Enhance your skills in patient counseling and drug therapy.
- Expand your knowledge of over the counter products.
- Learn the day to day management of a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare workers.
- Commitment to maintaining customer confidentiality.
