About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. You will work in a paint store environment, gaining insight into business-to-business sales by shadowing a Sales Representative and working directly with the management team. Interns also collaborate on a team-based project to address specific business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and offer recommendations to customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise to support inventory management.
- Restock shelves and assist with visual merchandising.
- Process point-of-sale transactions, mix products, and handle general store maintenance.
- Unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Participate in required training sessions and follow store policies.
- Support team members in resolving customer concerns.
- Collaborate on a team project to solve business challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university as a Junior or Senior.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- At least one year of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service.
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
