About the role#
Security Risk Advisors is looking for an IT Systems Coordinator Co-op to provide technical expertise in deploying and supporting employee systems. You will work with the team to solve user problems, recommend configurations, and improve IT processes across the company. This is a full-time, paid position at $25.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Provide front-line technical support to on-site and remote employees by diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, and mobile application issues.
- Proactively respond to production issues and follow up with internal customers to ensure their systems function correctly.
- Set up new employees with the necessary access and equipment.
- Configure and install new computers using standard software images and packages.
- Migrate existing users to new hardware.
- Manage IT assets, including phones and laptops.
- Perform software installs and handle move, add, and change activities for end-user accounts.
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot issues or analyze new products.
- Report user feedback and potential product requests.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a similar field, or equivalent training and experience.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance.
- A desire to learn about IT systems and equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and stay organized.
- Interest in working with others and teaching people how to use IT systems.
- Working knowledge of modern IT concepts, including device management like Intune or JAMF.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, Windows and Linux platform administration, and basic Active Directory or Entra ID management.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMWare/HyperV), Amazon AWS, Windows Group Policy, and core networking (CIDR, TCP/IP, switches, and firewalls).
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Rochester, New York, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- You are expected to work from the office five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
