About the role#
This position is for a Trade Floor Technology Consultant within the Global Banking and Markets division. You will work directly on the trade floor to support and automate business processes. The role involves full stack web development and the enhancement of existing web-based systems to meet the needs of the bank. This is a 16-month internship term starting in Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop and enhance web-based applications for the trading floor.
- Analyze business processes and design user interfaces.
- Liaise with various internal groups to ensure systems meet business requirements.
- Work with large datasets to build tools for bulk editing and advanced reporting.
- Implement web security and workflow notifications.
- Integrate APIs and apply machine learning or analytics for intelligent prediction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, specifically in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Demonstrated programming and analytical skills.
- Experience with full stack web development, including front-end frameworks and back-end languages like C# or Python.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in a team environment.
- High level of self-motivation.
