About the role#
Schreiber Foods is seeking engineering students for the Summer 2026 Controls Engineering Internship. This paid, full-time position offers hands-on experience within a food manufacturing environment. Interns will work alongside professional engineers on operational projects and participate in a structured program featuring executive speakers, networking events, and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Design, program, and test automated control systems.
- Utilize PLCs, HMIs, and robotics to improve system performance.
- Collaborate on system integration and optimization projects.
- Take ownership of assignments and complete them with accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Completed sophomore-level status or higher in an Engineering or Engineering Technology program (Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering Physics, or Manufacturing preferred).
- Current enrollment as a student throughout the internship (recent or previous graduates are ineligible).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2026.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to relocate for the duration of the internship.
- Reliable transportation.
