About the role#
The Special Situations team at SC&H works with middle market companies facing complex challenges. The team provides strategy and insights to help clients navigate these situations, often through sales or financing. This 10-week summer internship runs from June to August and involves working on client projects alongside senior bankers.
What you'll do#
- Perform industry research to prepare pitches for potential new clients.
- Create and edit marketing materials for active engagements.
- Work with senior bankers on ongoing deals across various industries.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- A GPA of 3.6 or higher.
- Previous successful business experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- A consistent ability to produce high-quality work products.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (in-person 4 days per week).
- Schedule: Full-time (30-32 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
