About the role#
This internship at Sanford Specialty Pharmacy offers hands-on experience in a setting that combines ambulatory care and retail pharmacy. You will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to support patients managing complex disease states. The program is designed to grow with your education, allowing your responsibilities to increase as you advance through the PharmD curriculum.
What you'll do#
- Manage refill coordination and medication dispensing.
- Provide direct patient interaction and counseling.
- Participate in clinical practice as you progress in your studies.
- Work on clinical projects.
- Receive mentorship from an assigned pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Completion of one year of full-time college or university with pre-pharmacy curriculum in North Dakota.
- Ability to meet minimum education requirements for registration through the state board of pharmacy.
- Current and maintained annual registration as an Undergraduate Pharmacy Intern through the State Board of Pharmacy.
Location & details#
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 6 to 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 5pm.
- Flexibility: Hours are scheduled around your classes, with potential for additional time during summer and school breaks.
- Compensation: $17.50 per hour.
