About the role#
Sandstone Care offers a clinical internship for students pursuing a master’s degree in counseling or social work. You will work within our outpatient treatment center for teens and young adults. This role provides hands-on experience in behavioral health, focusing on substance use, mental health, and mood disorders. You will receive one hour of individual supervision each week.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of client treatment goals.
- Coordinate care by communicating with clients, families, and other providers.
- Manage clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing tasks.
- Participate in weekly Clinical Team Meetings to collaborate with staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s program for counseling or social work.
- Ability to commit 15-20 hours per week.
- Availability to work at least one evening per week.
- Strong self-awareness and a professional attitude.
- A commitment to ethical clinical practice.
