About the role#
Sanborn, Head & Associates, Inc. is hiring an intern for our Industrial Client Service Area for Summer 2027. You will work alongside staff engineers and scientists on projects involving environmental site characterization, hydrogeologic assessments, and soil remediation. This role involves both office tasks and field work.
What you'll do#
- Learn the day-to-day responsibilities of an engineer or geologist.
- Apply your academic knowledge to hands-on project work.
- Assist with field assessments, including groundwater and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and construction monitoring.
- Help prepare technical reports and support regulatory compliance activities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data.
- Attend project meetings to learn how consulting projects are managed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor's or Master's program in environmental engineering, geology, or a related discipline.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and technical understanding.
- Organizational and communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn new skills.

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
