About the role#
As a Civil or Environmental Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on technical experience by working alongside experienced professionals on active engineering projects. You will apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, such as civil site design, water resource management, and infrastructure planning. This role is based in Merritt Island, Florida, and is a paid, part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams through various phases of project development, from initial design to final implementation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports.
- Support the implementation of Project Management Plans and Quality Control programs.
- Communicate design concerns or input directly to the Engineer of Record or Design Lead.
- Perform general duties such as project research, technical report writing, and data entry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program at a four-year ABET university.
- Availability to work part-time, with a maximum average of 25 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- A valid and unrestricted driver license.
- Familiarity with ASCE, AWWA, FDEP, ICC, ASTM, or UFC codes is a plus.
