About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across industries such as manufacturing, real estate, financial institutions, and healthcare. You will gain hands-on client experience and have direct access to business owners and executive management. Each intern is assigned a Performance Advisor to guide their development throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Understand client needs, business processes, accounting systems, and company values.
- Assist in the design and optimization of internal controls.
- Identify control deficiencies, evaluate risk implications, and advise clients on findings.
- Create internal control documentation for client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership regarding strategies for emerging technology risks.
- Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and regulatory compliance engagements.
- Execute System and Controls (SOC) reporting and controls opinion services.
- Conduct Information Technology controls testing and technical IT reviews.
- Perform internal audits over ERP systems and IT security.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Finance.
- Expected degree completion by December 2027 or June 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management abilities.
- Ability to work as an effective team member with high integrity and professionalism.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
- Progress toward or interest in CPA, CISA, or CIA certifications is a plus.
