About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across various industries, including manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, and private equity. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with client leadership and executive management to address their risk management and assurance needs. This internship provides exposure to middle market clients as you help them align their technology strategies with their business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Assist clients with the design and optimization of controls by applying your knowledge of business processes and accounting.
- Identify internal control deficiencies, evaluate the implications of those risks, and provide recommendations.
- Create internal control documentation to support client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership to discuss strategies for anticipating emerging technology risks.
- Perform IT controls testing to support financial statement audits.
- Participate in projects such as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, SOC reporting, and internal audits over ERP and security systems.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 90 credit hours.
- Currently working toward a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client locations.
- Strong communication, multi-tasking, and project management skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a team.
- A high degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Certification or progress toward a CPA, CISA, or CIA is preferred but not required.
