About the role#
As a Federal Tax Services Intern, you will join a team focused on various tax specialty areas. You will gain exposure to corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, and pass-through entity taxation. This internship offers a chance to apply your accounting knowledge to real client work.
What you'll do#
- Work within a team on diverse tax specialty areas including accounting for income taxes, mergers and acquisitions, and private client services.
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Perform tax planning and research tasks.
- Develop your understanding of tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.A. or B.S. degree program in Accounting.
- Completion of at least 90 credit hours.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client locations.
