About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern, you will join a team building the client-side web applications that power Robinhood. You will work across product areas like brokerage, crypto, and core experience. You will own projects from initial scoping through to production, partnering with experienced developers to ship software used by millions of people.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a dedicated mentor to guide you from onboarding through project completion.
- Architect new consumer features and reusable UI paradigms using React.
- Build and test products that support brokerage operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to iterate on products.
- Design frameworks and tools that help other developers work more efficiently.
- Use modern technologies including JavaScript, React, Redux, Immutable, TypeScript, Babel, Webpack, Django, React Native, and Go.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program with an expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Fluency in JavaScript or React Native.
- Understanding of functional and reactive programming paradigms.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of coding best practices.
- Ability to drive projects forward and communicate effectively.
- Strong design intuition and user empathy.
- Familiarity with Python, Django, or Go is an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.
