About the role#
We are looking for a Product Engineering Co-op to join our team for an 8-month term from January to August 2027. You will work on real, customer-facing features across our backend and mobile applications. As a full member of the engineering team, you will tackle the same problems as our full-time staff, ship production code, and participate in design discussions, code reviews, and releases. We provide mentorship and clear project scoping to help you make an impact.
What you'll do#
- Build full-stack features from the initial problem definition through to implementation, testing, and release.
- Write code across TypeScript and Node.js backend services and React Native frontends.
- Use AI development tools to increase your speed, while validating code and user experience before shipping.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and CX teams to improve customer-facing features and review feedback after release.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related post-secondary program.
- Availability for the full 8-month term.
- Experience building software through coursework, personal projects, internships, open source, or student teams.
- Foundational knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Interest in learning Node.js, React, React Native, or APIs.
- Basic comfort with Git, debugging, and testing.
- An interest in product thinking and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs.
- Clear communication, humility, and a willingness to learn.
- A thoughtful approach to using AI, taking ownership for reviewing and testing your work.
