About the role#
The Packaging Engineer Co-Op supports the R&D team in Montgomery, Alabama. You will work directly under the guidance of senior engineers to test and validate systems, organize control systems, and manage Bill of Material structures. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring 40 hours per week. It is a rolling position spanning one to three semesters.
What you'll do#
- Support R&D engineers with daily tasks and prototype unit buildups.
- Assist with new product introductions and launch planning for new product categories.
- Work on sustainability initiatives for existing product lines.
- Contribute to cost improvement, production assistance, and field quality projects.
- Set up units and conduct lab testing.
- Manage technical data and develop technical literature for field applications.
- Perform regulatory and data analysis as required.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Interest or experience in product design.
- Foundational knowledge of engineering principles like thermodynamics, statics, or electronics.
- Strong planning and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
