About the role#
Repsol is looking for a Remote Operations Control Center Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Houston, Texas. You will support our Operations team in monitoring renewable energy assets and ensuring they run safely and reliably.
What you'll do#
- Monitor utility-scale solar and battery energy storage assets using SCADA and other platforms.
- Review system alarms and notifications, escalating issues when necessary.
- Analyze plant performance data, equipment availability, and operational trends.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards.
- Help coordinate outages and communicate with maintenance, engineering, and third-party providers.
- Participate in root cause analysis and incident tracking.
- Support the creation of operational procedures and work instructions.
- Present project findings and updates to management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or utility-scale renewable energy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with SCADA or data analytics tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of solar or battery energy storage systems is a plus.
