About the role#
This internship program offers hands-on experience within the Logistics and Storage organization. You will rotate between different components of the business to understand how crude oil and refined products move through pipelines and marine operations. The program aims to develop technical and leadership skills by involving you in the five phases of the Marathon Project Management Process, which covers everything from conceptual design to project close-out.
What you'll do#
- Assist professionals with project scope development and engineering oversight.
- Support technical design, cost estimating, and schedule development.
- Evaluate and summarize bid sets for project procurement.
- Participate in construction supervision and provide safety leadership on site.
- Coordinate with operations groups and manage project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to work on site 40 hours per week.
- A valid driver's license for work-related travel, which may range from 15 to 35 percent.
- Access to reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Authorization to work in the United States with the need for employer sponsorship.
- Preference is given to candidates available for multiple work terms.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position for Summer 2027.
- Locations include Findlay, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; La Palma, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah.
