About the role#
Repsol is looking for a Project Controls Intern to join our team in Houston. This 12-week summer program runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027. You will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States. This role offers hands-on experience with scheduling, cost management, and project analytics.
What you'll do#
- Monitor project performance during development and construction phases.
- Maintain project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Collect and analyze data regarding schedule, cost, and performance metrics.
- Support cost tracking, budget monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
- Track project risks, issues, and mitigation actions.
- Assist with earned value management reporting and performance assessments.
- Develop and maintain project controls tools and documentation.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams to support decision-making.
- Participate in project review meetings and manage action item logs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A strong interest in renewable energy, construction, and infrastructure.
- Commitment to high standards of integrity, safety, and ethics.
