About the role#
As a Vehicle Engineer Intern, you will work across various technical teams to support the development of the Terran R launch vehicle. This role involves hands-on hardware interaction, data analysis, and design work. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of vehicle systems, from initial concepts to flight hardware testing.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop models for trajectory design and stage separation.
- Process test and flight data to ensure analysis predictions accurately represent vehicle behavior.
- Design, analyze, and optimize propulsion flight hardware.
- Assist in creating CAD models, drawings, and documentation for actuator components.
- Conduct mechanical design validation using FEA and 1D Flow solvers.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of relevant internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to identify problems and resolve them in ambiguous environments.
- A balance of a hands-on, get-it-done attitude with a focus on long-term process efficiency.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Long Beach, California.
- The position operates on a rolling basis.
