About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work across our Engine Manufacturing, Machine Shop, and Stage Manufacturing teams. This role involves direct collaboration with engineers and production staff to build the systems that manufacture our rockets. You will contribute to the Aeon R and Terran R programs by refining assembly processes and helping transition from development to flight-rate production.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams, as well as internal production staff and external vendors.
- Improve processes across multiple work centers to increase assembly efficiency.
- Create high-quality work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity manufacturing processes.
- Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback for current and future hardware upgrades.
- Identify and resolve technical problems in real time while balancing immediate production needs with long-term scaling goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering degree program.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and define previously undefined processes.
- At least 1 year of relevant internship experience is preferred.
