About the role#
The Stage Development Engineer I works within the Vehicle Systems and Integrated Test team to support the development of the Terran R vehicle. This role serves as a systems integration focal point, balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Perform requirements decomposition and develop design verification activities at the vehicle, system, and unit levels.
- Develop and maintain system and stage level Interface Control Documents.
- Balance program risk through adjudication and mitigation planning.
- Drive systems through qualification, acceptance, and hotfire test campaigns by preparing test objectives, matrices, and plans.
- Develop, manage, and execute operational plans and vehicle-level Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) during test, hotfire, and launch campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Technical problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Technical aptitude and a fundamental understanding of mechanical, fluid, and electrical engineering disciplines.

- This role may require travel to test and launch sites, as well as shifted schedules or weekend work for critical milestones.
