About the role#
The Quality Engineer Co-op is a temporary position designed to give students hands-on work experience. You will support the quality department by working on projects and daily business activities. This role allows you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world technical and business challenges while developing professional skills under supervision.
What you'll do#
- Assist with quality inspections, audits, and process evaluations.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data.
- Support investigations into defects, nonconformances, and customer complaints.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Assist in the teardown of customer motor returns.
- Maintain quality documentation and records.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations regarding quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product and process quality.
- Help ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, or Marketing.
- Eligibility for cooperative education participation through your academic institution.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
