About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will take on responsibilities similar to our full-time engineers. You will contribute directly to the success of our flying constellation. This role requires you to work on-site at our Hawthorne office for a minimum of 12 weeks. We value talent regardless of your background and encourage you to apply if you want to solve difficult problems.
What you'll do#
- Own the design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of novel spacecraft components.
- Build complete tools and testing setups.
- Focus on finishing and shipping your work.
- Prototype and iterate on designs quickly.
What you'll need#
- Experience building and shipping complex, high-quality solutions when the project requires it.
- Ability to create scrappy solutions when necessary.
- Comfort working independently while knowing when to seek guidance from experienced team members.
- Enrollment in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering programs.
