About the role#
As an Embedded Firmware Engineering Intern, you will take on responsibilities similar to our full-time team members. Your work will contribute directly to the success of our flying constellation. We look for individuals who are comfortable solving problems without known solutions and are willing to work as hands-on contributors. This role requires a commitment of at least 12 weeks on-site in our Hawthorne office.
What you'll do#
- Own the design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of novel spacecraft components.
- Build complete tools and testing setups with a focus on finishing and shipping your work.
- Prototype and iterate on designs rapidly.
What you'll need#
- Experience in software development using C, C++, and Python.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills using tools like DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Experience implementing device drivers.
- Experience working with serial digital communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
