About the role#
As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will manage relationships with personal and small business clients. You will provide professional advice on credit and investment needs while helping clients reach their financial goals. This role focuses on delivering expert service and contributing to client retention and sales.
What you'll do#
- Talk with clients to understand their needs and help them achieve their goals.
- Provide advice on personal and business credit and investment strategies.
- Work with financial planning, retirement, mortgage, and business banking experts to provide customized solutions.
- Use technology to improve the client experience and drive sales.
- Educate clients on RBC products and assist them with digital, mobile, and online banking tools.
- Take ownership of resolving client banking issues.
- Support new client acquisition through relationship-building strategies.
What you'll need#
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as the Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course.
- Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice from the CSI.
- 2-3 years of sales experience in the financial services industry, specifically with credit and investments.
- Proven ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Digital literacy across various devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Preferred majors include Finance, Business Administration, and Economics.
