About the role#
KPMG Canada is seeking undergraduate students for an 8-month co-op position starting in Fall 2027. You will join the Deal Advisory - Valuations - Complex Financial Instruments practice in Toronto. This role involves assisting in valuation assignments for transactions and financial reporting, while working alongside a team of over 100 professionals.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to deliver engagements and support senior staff.
- Develop and maintain valuation models, including Black-Scholes, binomial trees, Monte Carlo simulations, and discounted cash flows.
- Research, analyze, and compile valuation inputs such as market data, economic trends, and industry information.
- Present and articulate analyses, methodologies, and findings.
- Validate, review, and assess the accuracy of financial models and outputs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of colleagues and clients in a team-based environment.
- Progress toward or interest in a professional designation such as CPA, CBV, CFA, FRM, or PRM.
