About the role#
The Quantitative Finance Internship is a four-month program beginning in January 2027. Interns will support investment professionals across various quantitative finance teams, including Public Credit, Quantitative Models, Dynamic Portfolio Management, and Beta, Collateral, and Liquidity Management. This role provides hands-on experience in developing analytical tools, supporting investment models, and monitoring market trends.
What you'll do#
- Leverage programming skills in Python and SQL to develop and enhance proprietary analytical tools.
- Monitor credit markets and the macro environment to contribute to research and trade ideas.
- Contribute to the implementation of investment models and portfolio analytics.
- Assist in preparing presentation materials and presenting investment recommendations.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis on portfolio management, market structure, and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to interpret results and communicate the impact of modeling changes.
- Support day-to-day desk activities, including risk analysis and profit and loss attribution.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in STEM, business, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science, with a graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Programming experience in Python is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to TypeScript, SQL, database management (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle), C++, Java, R, or VBA.
- Interest in finance, global markets, trading, investment management, and market structure.
- Background or interest in numerical analysis, optimization, linear algebra, or software design is an asset.
- Ability to maintain excellent academic performance.
