About the role#
The GTS Finance Coordinator Intern joins the Global Technology Services Information Security team to provide financial tracking, data cleanup, and analysis. This role focuses on delivering clean datasets and foundational insights to the Information Security leadership team to ensure visibility into global security and compliance technology spend. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Review historical and current Information Security transaction data to categorize and document global security technology and vendor spend.
- Analyze and reconcile financial variance by tracking committed security contracts against actual invoices and expenditures.
- Assist in auditing, mapping, and centralizing global spend patterns for Trayport and TSX platforms to ensure cross-regional alignment.
- Prepare and format financial spreadsheets, cost-tracking dashboards, and summaries for executive review.
- Explore Google Gemini to automate financial data categorization, text extraction from vendor contracts, and routine reporting tasks.
- Perform financial analysis to determine technology and security cost allocations per workstation.
- Assume ownership of baseline projects and operational tasks transitioned from previous interns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 3rd or 4th-year college or university program in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a closely related analytical field.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis with advanced skills in Google Sheets and Excel, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Ability to work independently, manage large datasets, and handle multiple tasks with high accuracy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain financial trends to technology stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Authorization to work in Canada, as sponsorship is not provided for this position.
