About the role#
As a Client Advisor Intern, you serve as an ambassador for the branch. You will focus on putting clients first, identifying their needs, and providing solutions. This role is a starting point for those interested in future careers as Account Managers or Banking Advisors. You will work in a team environment, supporting client acquisition and deepening existing relationships.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients in the branch to provide service, complete transactions, and identify opportunities for advice or digital solutions.
- Educate clients on our tools and demonstrate how to use technology for their banking needs.
- Listen to client needs to spot opportunities for additional advice or introductions to partners.
- Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking issues.
- Maintain relationships with partners to ensure a collaborative team approach.
- Manage risks by following compliance routines and processes to protect client and shareholder interests.
What you'll need#
- A goal-oriented mindset with a focus on client service.
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
- Digital literacy across devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Flexibility to work varying hours.
- Confidence in learning financial concepts and a willingness to pursue certifications like the Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- Pursuing or holding a background in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Marketing.
