About the role#
As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the bank, focusing on everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. This role requires a client-focused approach to maximize interactions, whether you are onboarding a new client or referring complex needs to a specialist. You will work in a full-time capacity to help clients reach their financial goals.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients in the branch and community to uncover their banking needs and provide advice.
- Assist clients with a full range of financial transactions.
- Educate clients on digital banking tools and demonstrate how to use them.
- Take ownership of resolving and preventing banking problems for clients.
- Build relationships with internal partners to identify business opportunities and referrals.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, both verbal and written.
- Mutual Funds accreditation, specifically the Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- A background in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment.
- Digital literacy across smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Availability to work all open business hours.
- Enrollment in or completion of studies in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
