About the role#
This internship is part of the Chief Data Office and Technology & Operations teams. You will help build enterprise data management workflows and automated processes to support data-driven strategies at RBC. This is a 4-month full-time position running from January 2027 to April 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise data management workflows to manage data ingestion, transformation, and distribution.
- Build and maintain automated data pipelines to reduce manual work and improve data consistency.
- Apply data warehouse concepts to support strategic data initiatives.
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver project requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
- Use modern technologies to design scalable data solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with databases and SQL.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and relational database design.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Eligibility: You must be returning to school after the work term or require this placement as a mandatory component to graduate in April 2027.
