About the role#
The IT Infrastructure Intern provides entry-level technical support while gaining hands-on experience across Service Desk operations, infrastructure systems, and cybersecurity. You will work under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure team to resolve end-user technology issues, support hardware and software deployments, and contribute to security initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Respond to and triage end-user support requests through the Help Desk system, email, and telephone.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and deploy desktop equipment including computers, printers, and accessories.
- Assist with cybersecurity projects and tasks to support the Information Security and Infrastructure teams.
- Document Help Desk activity, including user information, troubleshooting steps, and final resolutions.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records and perform routine system health checks.
What you'll need#
- A foundational understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
- Basic familiarity with Service Desk or customer support concepts.
- An interest in infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or IT operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to follow troubleshooting procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
