About the role#
This internship is based at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department in Andover, Massachusetts. You will join the RF engineering test team to support the development and manufacturing of compound semiconductor devices and integrated circuits for defense applications. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave measurements on GaAs and GaN devices, modules, and MMICs.
- Conduct both fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements.
- Build and assemble RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave test systems.
- Use software to control test equipment and plot your results.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience or coursework in RF/microwave, analog or digital electronics, circuit design, or electromagnetics.
- Prior lab experience with RF/microwave device and circuit measurements.
- Proficiency with software such as Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, or JMP.
- Ability to troubleshoot circuits using common lab equipment.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
