About the role#
This Manufacturing Intern position offers an opportunity to work on the production of electrical and mechanical pressure sensing devices. You will work alongside manufacturing engineers, production leaders, and design teams to solve complex problems and support daily operations. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Burnsville, Minnesota, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Maintain production documentation, including manufacturing documents and process routings.
- Develop and implement projects focused on cost savings, new technology, and new materials.
- Work to reduce scrap, rework, and repair rates.
- Identify common defects and learn proper mitigation strategies.
- Provide recommendations to improve process efficiency, safety, and production flow.
- Learn to operate and program assigned equipment and use relevant metrology tools.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment through the completion of the internship session.
- Experience with Solid Works or Creo software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience designing and analyzing experiments.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
