About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers an immersive experience within the Risk Management organization at Raymond James. You will work under general supervision to support projects across various functions, including Financial Risk, Model Risk, and Non-Financial Risk Management. This role involves participating in change management initiatives, executing current risk programs, and applying technical skills to real-world business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Partner with colleagues and business process owners to evaluate control environments.
- Develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Perform data collection and analysis to identify trends and minimize risk.
- Identify, review, and document risk management and control issues.
- Assist in preparing written reports and recommendations regarding process effectiveness.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and market events that impact business operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the firm.
What you'll need#
- Junior or senior standing pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Hands-on experience or coursework using SQL and Python for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to customer service.
- Self-motivated approach with the ability to remain effective under pressure.

- Modality: Hybrid.
- Duration: 10 weeks, from June 2, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
