    About the role#

    The Mechanical Engineering Intern joins our New Product Development team to help create concepts for our 2027 and 2028 product lines. You will work on-site in Chicago and gain experience across the full product lifecycle, from initial design to supply chain support.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide engineering support to product design, customer service, quality control, and supply chain teams.
    • Build and test prototype parts using rapid prototyping and traditional model-making techniques.
    • Develop solutions for design challenges as they arise.
    • Assist engineers and designers with solid models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials.
    • Coordinate with engineering teams in the U.S. and overseas via email and conference calls.

    What you'll need#

    • Junior or senior standing in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
    • A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
    • Experience with CAD software.
    • Ability to solve problems effectively.
    • A commitment to product quality and design.
    • A portfolio in PDF format or an online link containing work examples like CAD images or prototype photos.
