About the role#
Rabobank offers a full-time, 10-week paid internship for students interested in the intersection of finance and agriculture. This program provides practical experience in a professional banking environment. You will be paired with a mentor to support your professional development and skill building. The role is a hybrid position that requires occasional travel of 10 to 15 percent.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial spreading and analyze financial statements.
- Source loan documents, create covenants, and manage document imaging.
- Research and follow up on loan delinquencies.
- Participate in team meetings and use internal collaboration tools.
- Work on a summer-long project, culminating in a presentation to leadership.
- Rotate through various functions, such as relationship management, underwriting, and appraisals, to gain exposure to client portfolio management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple projects.
- Capacity to work well in teams and as an individual contributor.
- Knowledge or experience in agriculture is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Bakersfield, California.
- Pay: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on academic standing.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
