About the role#
As a Financial Markets and Real Estate (FMRE) Tax Intern, you will work within our tax practice to support teams delivering assurance and advisory services. This role focuses on learning through observation and participation in projects involving financial reporting, complex financial instruments, and regulatory requirements. You will contribute to team goals while building a foundation for your professional career.
What you'll do#
- Support teams in delivering financial market assurance services.
- Participate in projects focused on financial reporting and decision-making.
- Conduct research and perform basic tasks to assist in audit and advisory work.
- Apply accounting policies and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Engage in economic forecasting and financial analysis.
- Monitor financial trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to address market challenges.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Eligibility to meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- You are typically in the third year of a four-year degree program or the fourth year of a five-year program.
