About the role#
As a Digital Assurance and Transparency intern, you will join our Detroit team to gain experience in professional audit and assurance work. You will support our teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and learning how we provide independent assessments to clients. This role focuses on building your professional skills through hands-on work and observation.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams in conducting independent assessments of financial reporting.
- Apply auditing methodologies to help improve transparency and compliance.
- Observe experienced auditors to learn about regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Perform data quality assurance and validation tasks.
- Collaborate with teams to apply cloud engineering principles to our audit processes.
- Contribute to the development and testing of artificial intelligence platforms.
- Gather and analyze financial data to identify patterns.
- Apply a learning mindset to develop your professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, or Information Technology.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA, though a 3.5 GPA is preferred.
- You must be in your third year of a four-year degree or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application.
- Eligibility to meet the educational requirements for the CPA exam or CISA licensure before starting a full-time role.

- Compensation: $29.25 - $48.00 per hour.
