About the role#
We are looking for a Production Support Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the Processing Production Design Support section to assist the Advanced Airborne Sensor program. This role involves collaborating with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues during production, testing, and integration.
What you'll do#
- Ensure Special Test Equipment remains operable and work to improve test yields.
- Perform technical evaluations of hardware to categorize and disposition failures.
- Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
- Provide status updates regarding hardware failures to program leadership.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites as needed, up to 25% of the time.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Experience using standard engineering lab equipment.
- Ability to read and use schematic drawings for troubleshooting.
- Experience with fault isolation and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in McKinney, Texas.
- The role requires active enrollment in your degree program through the end of the internship.
