About the role#
Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking undergraduate students for the 2026 Fall Co-Op Program. You will join the CAPEX Project Expansion Engineering team to work on facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and process improvements. This role offers the chance to work alongside industry professionals on projects that support clinical research and manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist in leading and managing facility expansion projects, including tracking progress and supporting construction quality activities.
- Support the startup, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment such as vial filling lines, lyophilizers, and autoclaves.
- Review and author internal validation protocols, reports, and traceability matrices.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project success.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to project implementation.
- Execute validation protocols for filling line equipment and utilities.
- Assist with documentation including standard operating procedures, equipment manuals, and maintenance records.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Packaging, Pharmaceutical, or Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
