About the role#
This internship is a summer 2027 position within the Airborne RF Electronics Electrical Engineering Department. You will join the Processing Production Design Support section to assist the Advanced Airborne Sensor program. The role is full-time and based on-site in McKinney, Texas. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the operability of Special Test Equipment and work to improve test yields.
- Evaluate hardware, categorize failures, and manage the disposition of failing units.
- Prioritize and carry out improvement projects.
- Provide status updates regarding hardware failures to program leadership.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites as needed to support production, with travel requirements up to 25%.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Experience using standard engineering lab equipment.
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings for troubleshooting.
- Experience with fault isolation and general troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write reports and deliver presentations.
