About the role#
This internship is a full-time position for Summer 2027 based in Independence, Texas. You will work on-site as part of the engineering team. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to program requirements.
What you'll do#
- Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from initial concept to final product.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure project success.
- Write VHDL code focused on reliability, maintainability, and reusability.
- Verify designs using self-checking techniques, including directed and constrained random tests.
- Track functional and code coverage throughout the design process.
- Create documentation, including requirements, verification plans, and user guides.
- Assist with project execution to meet program schedules and budgets.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience delivering FPGA solutions for system-level applications.
- Familiarity with at least one brand of FPGA devices and their associated tools.
- Experience with digital simulation tools such as Questa or RivieraPro.
