About the role#
ENGIE is hiring a GIS Intern to join the Grid Scale Renewables team in Houston. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
You will assist in the development of GIS applications and support project teams with mapping and spatial analysis. Your work involves gathering and analyzing geospatial data while collaborating with developers and other stakeholders. You will also participate in the testing and evaluation of GIS solutions.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students majoring in Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Data Science. You should have knowledge of GIS tools and technologies, along with an understanding of application development. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Java is required. You should also have experience with data analysis and familiarity with renewable energy concepts.
Location & details#
This role is based in Houston, Texas. It is an on-site, full-time position. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
