About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to the creation of Avionics Cockpit Central Display Unit (CDU) software simulations and modeling environments. You will work within a team supporting military helicopter programs, including the U.S. Army’s 160th Special Operations Air Regiment, the U.S. Marines, and the Coast Guard. The role involves developing command and control software for mission sensors and weapons systems.
What you'll do#
- Perform as a member of a cross-functional agile team.
- Work in close coordination with a mentor using established engineering processes.
- Model and simulate via Avionics Software based Central Display Unit (CDU) control pages.
- Demonstrate your completed project at the Summer Engineering Project (SEPP) demo fair.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficiency in higher-level programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java.
- U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.
