About the role#
The Parts, Libraries, and Obsolescence Department at Pratt & Whitney is seeking an intern to support the circuit card design process. You will work across the full lifecycle of circuit card development, from initial design through production. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Tucson, Arizona, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering support for circuit card design and development.
- Select electrical components and verify their application to ensure cost-effective and reliable products.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop component risk and verification data packages.
- Identify parts for the preferred parts list and recommend solutions to mitigate obsolescence.
- Present technical findings and project updates during program design reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Practical experience in one or more areas, including circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design, or printed circuit board design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
